The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced brownfield grants, which may be used to address sites contaminated by petroleum and hazardous substances, pollutants, or contaminants (including hazardous substances co-mingled with petroleum). The proposal submission deadline is November 16, 2017.

Money is Still Available from the E-Waste Reimbursement Grants

Did you miss the opportunity this past fall to submit your expenses for electronic wastes to the NYSDEC for reimbursement?  Good news – only $1.2 million in grant requests were received in October, leaving almost $1.8 million available for a second chance opportunity for municipalities. DEC will accept applications for second chance opportunity funding from January 2 through January 31, 2017. The funding is available for up to 50% of a municipalities e-waste expenses.
