2015 CFA Funding Solicitation Announced

The 2015 Consolidated Funding Application is now open. The funding solicitation opens on Friday, May 1, 2015 and applications will be accepted through the CFA until 4:00 pm on Friday, July 31, 2015.


Through the New York State Consolidated Funding Application (CFA), a single application for multiple sources of state funding, New York State is soliciting grant applications for funding to advance the priorities of the Regional Economic Development Councils (REDC).


The full solicitation, application materials, and details for CFA workshops are available online at www.regionalcouncils.ny.gov. The available funding amounts are listed below, with a few new ones for 2015!


  • Empire State Development Grant Funds - $150 million
  • Excelsior Jobs Program - $70 million
  • NYS Business Incubator Program - $1.25 million
  • ESD Strategic Planning and Feasibility Studies - $1 million
  • Market New York - $12 million
  • NYS Arts: Arts, Culture, and Heritage Initiatives - $5 million
  • CDBG - $25 million
  • NY Main Street and NYMS Technical Assistance - $9.7 million – more than double last year!
  • NYSOPRHP – EPF Municipal Grant - $16 million
  • NYSOPRHP – Recreational Trails Program - $1.2 million – NEW for 2015!
  • LWRP - $17 million - about 50% more than last year!
  • Canalway - $1 million
  • NYSERDA Energy Efficiency - $50 million
  • DEC/EFC Engineering Planning Grants - $2 million – awards may be up to $100,000 this year
  • DEC WQIP - $35 million – NEW for 2015
  • EFC GIGP - $14.85 million
  • NYSERDA Cleaner Greener Communities - $30 million
  • DOS LGe - $4 million
  • DOL Workforce Development - $5 million
