Barton & Loguidice Engineer Selected for National Civil Engineering Leadership Award

Barton & Loguidice announces that Abbas Kazan, I.E., has been selected by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) as one of 10 young professionals to be recognized for the 2022 “New Faces of Civil Engineering” in the U.S. According to the ASCE, “these professionals are admirably ambitious, remarkably accomplished, and supremely impressive.”
Kazan joined B&L’s Transportation Department in 2018 and has been involved with various projects with both the bridge and highway practice areas. He is a graduate of SUNY Polytechnic Institute (B.S., Civil Engineering) and is an Engineer-in-Training in New York (2019) and a CRLA International Certified Tutor. His community involvement includes serving as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the ASCE-Syracuse Section as well as author on the 2022 ASCE New York State Infrastructure Report Card and ASCE Pre-College Outreach Champion. Kazan will be featured in the latest issue of ASCE Civil Engineering Source and the Plot Points podcast. He will also be featured during Engineers Week (February 20-26) on the ASCE website and promoted to nationwide media outlets to highlight his recognition.
