Alexander Central School District Fueling Station
What was the challenge?
B&L assisted SEI Design Group and the Alexander Central School District with the design, bidding, and construction observation assistance for the demolition, closure, and removal of the existing above-ground storage tank (AST) fleet fueling system.
How did Barton & Loguidice provide a solution?
B&L provided design drawings, construction cost estimate, and the civil, mechanical, and electrical systems design of the fuel system. New fueling station equipment included dispensers for gasoline and diesel fuel, tank monitoring system and fuel management systems; and remote fill station. B&L also assisted with permitting and environmental compliance requirements, prepared Tank Closure Report detailing the closure of the existing storage tank and updated the Petroleum Bulk Storage registrations for the new modified system, and provided construction oversight for the installation of the new fleet fueling station.
Why was the project a success?
The new fueling system was replaced with two ASTs providing 3,000 gallons of diesel fuel storage and 1,000 gallons of gasoline storage.
