ALTA/ACSM Land Title Survey

What was the Challenge?

Anchor Engineering Services, Inc. was retained by this private client to provide land surveying services for the preparation of an ALTA/ACSM Land Title Survey. This survey was to cover two parcels of eighteen and twenty-two acres respectively and containing one office building covering forty-eight thousand square feet and a manufacturing building covering three hundred and seventy-three thousand square feet. The contract duration (turnaround time) was eighteen days from contract signing to delivery of the survey.

Additionally, Anchor was contracted to perform a Phase One Environmental Site Assessment of the two properties.

How did Barton & Loguidice provide a solution?

Two survey field crews and two survey technicians were tasked with conducting the field and office portions of the surveys. The field crews began setting up the project and locating physical features while the technicians prepared the title research information. The boundary portions of the survey were conducted after the preparation, review and approval of the records research.

In addition to the two survey field crews, two Licensed Land Surveyors were on site to assist in measuring and guide the field effort. Additional hours were worked during the weekdays and weekends in order to perform field measurements in the parking areas that were fully utilized on weekdays.

Why was the project a success?

The entire survey department bought into the need for “all hands-on deck” during the performance of the survey both in the field and in the office. Other Anchor Engineering project managers were on board with short delays in their respective projects in order to deliver this project on time. This true team effort made this project successful for both anchor and the client.
