Barton & Loguidice Acquires Bivens & Associates Architects, PLLC

Barton & Loguidice is pleased to announce the acquisition of Syracuse-based Bivens & Associates Architects, PLLC (B&A). Founded in 2006, B&A has provided architectural design, planning/programming and capital project management services to clients in the municipal, educational, healthcare and commercial sectors throughout New York State. This is B&L’s second acquisition in 2022 and its ninth such transaction since 2016.
With the move, B&L will add further depth and leadership to its existing architectural staff to service the current and future needs of the Company’s expanding geographic footprint. Through both organic growth and merger/acquisition, B&L has grown to include a total of 17 offices in six states and more than 350 professionals.
B&A’s founder, Timothy R. Bivens, AIA has over 30 years of experience in architectural design, construction, building code reviews and building condition surveys. “We wanted to align ourselves with a larger firm that provided a strong cultural fit and like-minded approach to client service and problem solving,” said Bivens who joins B&L as Vice President and Practice Area Leader. The acquisition of B&A will bring three additional technical staff to B&L’s Facilities Practice Area.
