Barton & Loguidice Acquires Second New England Firm Expanding Service Area in Portland, Maine

September 7, 2021

Grows Transportation Practice with New Senior Managing Transportation Planner

Barton & Loguidice (B&L), an engineering, planning, environmental and landscape architecture firm with 350 employees throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, is pleased to announce its second acquisition in the New England Region – Traffic Solutions. Owner William (Bill) J. Bray, P.E. will be joining the firm and working from B&L’s new office in Portland, Maine to further enhance our transportation and municipal services in the New England market.

“The acquisition of Traffic Solutions is a good fit for B&L and a natural progression of growth for our new Maine office as Bill Bray has worked with B&L staff on numerous transportation-related projects, demonstrating our shared vision for providing inspired solutions that exceed the expectations of our municipal clients,” said John F. Brusa, Jr., P.E. President and CEO of B&L. “This is our second expansion of services in the New England market, following our acquisition in October 2020 of Anchor Engineering Services. We are excited to have Bill and his extensive transportation experience on our team.”

Bray has owned/operated Traffic Solutions for the past 35 years, working with clients and communities in Maine and New Hampshire. He held several key positions in the public sector in Maine throughout his career, working for the City of Portland as a Traffic Engineer and then Director of Public Works. Bray has been a member of the Portland Area Comprehensive Transportation Study (PACTS) Committee and is a graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology.

“Having a long history of working with Bill Bray on local transportation projects, I am looking forward to Bill being on the B&L team and truly value all the experience he brings to our clients’ projects and the development of our Maine office,” said B&L’s Portland Office Senior Managing Engineer John Q. Adams, P.E., PTOE.
